Stephen W. Farr brings over four decades of legal expertise to his practice, having graduated from UCLA Law School in 1971 and establishing himself as a prominent figure in Utah's legal community. His leadership credentials include serving as President of the Weber County Bar Association from 2009-2010, working as South Ogden Attorney for four years under Mayor Brent Frost's administration, and founding the successful law firm of Farr, Kaufman, Sullivan, Jensen, Olds, Kaufman, Rasmussen & Nichols, L.L.C. He has also contributed to the legal profession through his participation in numerous law panels focused on improving attorney-client relationships.
Mr. Farr's most notable achievement lies in his mastery of mass tort litigation, particularly his exceptional success with Vioxx pharmaceutical cases. As one of only a few Northern Utah attorneys handling mass tort cases locally, he secured approximately $2.8 million for his clients from the $4.85 billion Vioxx settlement—accomplishing this entirely through his local firm without requiring out-of-state litigation support. This achievement demonstrates his unique ability to provide clients with both the personal attention of a local attorney and the results typically associated with large national firms.
